Historically, the duet has been imporant for didactic purposes and was often used to demonstrate compositional techniques eg bicinia, fantasias and ricercars, etc, and later the works of JS Bach (Two-part Inventions) and Telemann. Our aim is to create an equally high quality duo repertoire for our own time without losing touch with the past.

Response to Bach: A project in two parts: to arrange and perform on soprano and bass recorders JS Bach’s 15 Two-part Inventions; and to commission seven new works as a Response to JS Bach.
