Maggie Cole harpsichord, fortepiano, piano
Maggie Cole is known internationally for her concerts and recordings on harpsichord, fortepiano and piano. In addition to solo recitals and duo partnerships with Michael Chance (countertenor), Mark Padmore (tenor), Philippa Davies (flute) and Stevel Isserlis (cello) Maggie devotes herself to Trio Goya, her fortepiano trio.
Maggie plays regularly with the Britten Sinfonia, the Nash Ensemble and as a member of the Sarasa Chamber Ensemble and performs regularly in the US. Maggie has always been involved in playing harpsichord works from the 20th and now, the 21st centuries, with works by, amongst others, Manuel de Falla, György Ligeti, Gavin Bryars, Stephen Dodgson and most recently, Peter Child and Tansy Davies.
With Trio Goya she will be recording a double CD of Haydn Trios to be released in 2009.
