Douglas Hollick organ/harpsichord/fortepiano
Acclaimed by critics and scholars alike as an outstanding player, Douglas Hollick is recognised for his vibrant and musical performances. His Riverrun CD Buxtehude, master and pupil attracted the comment ‘a sheer delight’ from Choir and Organ magazine. He has performed in many UK festivals, as well as in Europe and Australia; he teaches at Cambridge University and the Birmingham Conservatoire, and is available for masterclasses and lecture recitals. He is also a year 2000 Churchill Fellow with a project called In the footsteps of Bach. A wide variety of programmes range from the mid 17th to early 19th century, including Music of the Baroque avant-garde and Music of the Bach Family. The music is presented within an historical context, often with spoken introductions which audiences greatly appreciate.
