The Hilliard Ensemble can offer 4 and 5 voice early vocal music programmes from across Europe, both sacred and secular. Their programmes reflect the singers’ on-going research, and frequently complement the early music with contemporary pieces, many of them specially commissioned. The breadth of their recordings on ECM demonstrates most clearly The Hilliard Ensemble’s 12 century span of repertoire.
