The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment was founded in 1986 with a mission to bring the very best of period instrument tradition to modern audiences in performances characterised by commitment, excellence and dynamism. Renowned for its versatile and pioneering spirit, the OAE has chosen to perform with no permanent music director, instead allowing the players to lead the orchestra’s musical trajectory in a unique series of projects in association with world class musicians.

Education:
