Tatty Theo baroque/classical cello

Tatty is a versatile performer with an exciting and varied concert career ranging from Bach suites in late-night candle-lit concerts, to playing continuo and working with many of the country’s leading period instrument ensembles. Tatty studied at the RCM and now regularly performs at venues throughout Britain and abroad. Recitals can be solo cello, duo or combined with harpsichord continuo/obbligato, and programmes designed to suit festivals’ or music clubs’ requirements. Recitals feature verbal introductions to the music and its historic background, providing an interesting and attractive option for audiences. Tatty also specialises in lecture-recitals featuring music by composers/cellists celebrated in the 17th and 18th centuries. These can include music using up to 4 different cellos and beautiful illustrations and prose of the period.

Cello duo: Handel, Couperin, Geminiani, Boccherini, Abel, Boismortier, plus arrangements

Education:

Everything you wanted to know about the baroque cello...but were afraid to ask - a light-hearted introduction to and history of the cello, using various different instruments, bows, contemporary illustrations and musical examples, from selection of 17th and 18th century composers. Experience with special needs.
